Mr. Cosby was just a the very best of men. Many years ago we sat in his living room and discussed my moving to California to be a missionary. He was so excited about that. He talked about what it would be like on the West coast and how quickly I would discover that there were not so many Christians over there. He was right about all of it. Krystal had such an amazing Christ-like father. You could not be around him without feeling it. He talked with such pride about both of his children, their ambitions and educations, his life in Monroe; and always discussed things with me like I was an adult instead of just a child. He was perhaps the first person who spoke to me in that way. Several years ago, I ran into a man in Mexico on a vacation who had been a minister at EastGate in Vidor. I brought up Mr. Cosby and he knew exactly who I was referring to and went on and on about how wonderful of a disciple of Christ that he was. It will be wonderful to see him again on the other side. I literally just heard about this ten minutes ago and hate that I will not be at the service today. My heart goes out to his family especially to Krystal and Brandon.

Jerry was a coworker and good friend. I enjoyed eating many lunches with him. Everyone he meet became an instant friend. He had a wonderful way of making you feel appreciated. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.

I have lost a SPECIAL FRIEND, Jerry Cosby. I have known him a long time but saw him rarely! HE REMAINED THE SAME, KIND, SWEET, GENTLEMAN and most of all A SAINT OF GOD (sold out to God and never gave up)! Jerry could make a trombone talk and sing! He played with anointing and in worship. He is already greatly missed. To his wife, Marsha and his children, thanks for loving him so much all the way through his time of illness. The entire family including his precious sisters (he was the only boy and baby at that), we are holding you up in our prayers! Take your place, Jerry in God’s celestial orchestra! We will see you soon on the other side! ♥️🌹♥️
