Jesse Lyn Raney

August 4, 2000 - February 19, 2026

Jesse Lyn Raney, 25, of Beaumont, died on Thursday, February 19, 2026. He was born on August 4, 2000, to Jackie Frances Bowles and Jeffery Lyn Raney.

Jesse was the kind of person who made the world feel warmer just by being in it. He was gentle, thoughtful, and deeply caring.

Jesse was raised in Beaumont, Texas. He attended school and graduated from Hardin-Jefferson ISD in 2019.  In 2023, Jesse graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Shortly after graduation, he began his career as an Accounting Assistant at Family Services of Southeast Texas. Jesse cared deeply about the organization’s mission and believed in the importance of the work being done. He truly loved the people he worked with and valued the sense of purpose he found there.

Outside of work, Jesse could often be found picking up a game of basketball in the evenings or on weekends.  Recently, he had taken up photography. He loved being outside, exploring, and just enjoying the calm that came with it. He would also spend endless hours playing video games with his online friend group, laughing and cutting up late into the night.  This is where he met some incredible people, some he finally got to meet in person.

Jesse’s life was far too short, but it was lived with love, kindness, and a genuine heart. The way he treated people and cared for others will stay with everyone who knew him. He will be missed more than words can say and will live on in our hearts forever.

Survivors include his parents, brother, Jack Raney; aunts and uncles, Glenda Olive and her husband, Reggie; Mike Raney and his wife, Alexis; Sharon Davis; and Walter Stevens and his wife, Gina; and numerous cousins and friends.

Jesse is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Buck and Jessie Raney, and maternal grandparents, Geraldine Stoner and Jack Bowles.

Memorial contributions may be made to Family Services of Southeast Texas, 3550 Fannin Street, Beaumont, Texas 77701.
