Jim Douglas Jones

Jim Douglas Jones, 90, of Buna, died Thursday, July 4, 2024.  He was born on February 28, 1934, in Port Arthur, to Hallie Mae Gravis Jones and Iris Edward Jones.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Jo Harris Jones; children, Linda Sue Butler of Silsbee; Jeff Jones and wife, Tatyana, of Buna; and Brenda Fink and her husband, Jim, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Jill Powell and her husband, David, and Caleb Butler and his wife, Jessi, all of Silsbee; Max Kuzmenkov of Abilene; Thais Jones of Buna; Justin Calloway and his wife, Megan, of Lumberton; Dylan Jones and his wife, Cierra; Kristyn Goins and her husband, Cody; and Jake Jones and his wife Gabby, all of Buna; twelve great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and sister, Carol White of Oklahoma.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents; son, Joey Jones; siblings, Iris Edward Jones “Junior,” Mary Nell England, Robert Weldon Jones, Vic Harrison, and Joe Harrison.

A gathering of Mr. Jones’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 8, 2024, at New Beginnings Church Assembly of God, 1614 FM 105, Evadale, with his interment to follow at Morse Cemetery, Buna.
