Jim T Collier, Jr.
Jim T Collier, Jr., 73, of Buna, died, Wednesday, April 8, 2026. He was born on October 29, 1952, in Austin, to Celia Ann Scallorn Collier and Jim T Collier, Sr.
With hearts full of gratitude and love, we celebrate the life of a man whose greatest devotion was to Jesus Christ, the guiding light of his life. A Husband, Father and friend whose faith was not only something he believed-It was something he lived daily, shaping every word he spoke, every life he touched, and every act of kindness he gave. Jim often prayed the words of Psalm 19:14: “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.” These words were not only a prayer but a reflection of how he lived—seeking to honor God in both word and deed.
Jim was a devoted husband to his beautiful wife, Polly of 41 years, whom he cherished with all his heart. Their love was a testament to faith, commitment, love and respect, serving as an example to all who knew them.
His greatest joy was his family. Jim was a proud and loving father to his two daughters, a cherished grandfather to five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was known for always saying “yes” when he was needed—whether it was lending a hand, offering guidance, or getting down on the floor to play. His generosity, warmth, and playful spirit left a lasting imprint on every heart he touched. He was a playful and cherished brother and uncle, bringing joy wherever he went. Whether through his quick wit, warm smile, or his remarkable gift for storytelling, Jim had a way of drawing people in and making them feel at home. His stories—full of humor, wisdom, and heart—will be remembered and retold for generations.
Music was woven into the fabric of his soul. He had a special love for bluegrass and gospel music, and he used that passion to serve others. For many years, he faithfully led worship at his church, lifting hearts and pointing others toward Christ. Whether standing before a congregation or playing with his band, The Ambassadors, he found joy in sharing music that inspired and encouraged.
Jim found peace and happiness in the outdoors, especially in hunting and fishing—times that brought both quiet reflection, memories, and many times new story telling material. He also had a gift for working with his hands, creating beautiful wood projects alongside his namesake, Brady T. Those moments were more than just hobbies; they were expressions of love, patience, and legacy.
Known for his creativity and his wonderfully literal sense of humor, he had a special way of bringing lightness into everyday moments. He loved making people laugh and found just as much joy in the laughter of others. His presence could brighten any room, turning ordinary days into something memorable.
Above all, he will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his deep love he gave so freely to his family and friends, his music, and his joyful spirit. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the songs he sang, the laughter he shared, and the faith he passed on.
He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Always a smile, always an encouraging word, always a helping hand and always a joyful heart. What an example he was and such a loving person. My heart goes out to all the family and friends. I’m asking God to carry you through the deep felt sadness. Rejoice knowing it’s temporary, and that he will experience eternal joy.
Jim Collier was a man whose life reflected everything He loved most faith, the outdoors and the company of dear friends. Jim was a devoted man of God who found equal peace in the quiet of the woods and along the waters edge. He was an avid, hunter and fisherman who pursued those passions with joy and dedication. Those who were fortunate enough to share the field with Jim knew that his presence made every outing better he may cherish memories, elk hunting out west and spent time in Alabama deer hunting alongside close friends who will miss him deeply in those moments surrounded by nature and the people he cared for Jim was truly in his element. He leaves behind. A legacy of faith, friendship, and a life well lived he will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and especially by those who were blessed to call him a friend.
I am praying for you Polly and the family during this difficult time. May God wrap his arms around you with comfort and peace.
He was a wonderful man who stood for the Lord and it showed in his daily walk in life. Our hearts and prayers go out to the entire family 🙏

We will remember him with great affection.
“Grief is the last act of love we have to give those we loved.
Where there is deep grief, there was great love”.
Amy and family, so sorry for your loss. We will be praying for your family during this difficult time.
I’m gonna miss you Jim. A true friend and a great Christian. You always had a smile on your face. I loved listening to you leading our music program. I know you will be well taken care of in Heaven. Prayers for Polly and all your family.
Oh, how I love Bro. Jim and Mrs. Polly. Jim has been a part of my life for over 35 years, but he became especially dear to me after my husband passed, when he stepped in and helped carry me through some of the hardest days.
Of all the things he ever said, the words that have stayed with me the most are simple: “I’m proud of you.” He didn’t tell me I was strong or try to convince me I was stronger than I felt. He just told me he was proud — proud that I was facing the hard things, and proud that I was leaning on Jesus, just as he faithfully did all the way to the end.
Those words meant more than he probably ever knew, and I will carry them with me always.
My heart is broken for Polly and the family there has never been a better Friend in my life than Jim I know God is taking him home to rest in his arms. He taught me so much in life he is the closest thing to a brother i’ve had in my life. God gave us a truly great Man to teach us how to get through this Thank you I’m gonna miss you i’ll just say now until we meet again .
