Jimmie Rae Angelo

June 5, 1945 - January 9, 2023

Jimmie Rae Angelo, 77, of Beaumont, passed away peacefully Monday, January 9, 2023. She was born June 5, 1945, in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana, to her parents, Elaine Weathersby Thompson and Kirk Thompson.

Jimmie started off cutting hair, then became interested in floral design. She started at Market Basket as a florist and worked her way up to supervisor. After their retirement, she and her husband Mike enjoyed traveling to many places (including New York and Alaska), visiting casinos, and spending time with friends and family.

Jimmie is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Mike Angelo; children, Dilainia Hargrove and her husband, Darin, of Beaumont; step-grandchildren, Kevin, Diane, and Austin; sister, Louise Duke of Georgia; nieces, Tammie Love and her husband, David Love, of Houston Texas; Theresa and Michelle; nephews, Everitte “Rich” Richards and his wife, Julie; Mark Richards and his wife, Elana; godsons, Bradley and Nathan; and numerous other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Micheal Todd Angelo; sister, Elizabeth Richards; and brother, William “Bubba” Thompson.

A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Angelo will begin at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, officiated by Pastor Paul May. Her cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
