Jimmy “Wayne” Brown
Jimmy “Wayne” Brown, 62 of Breckenridge, died Saturday, March 22, 2025. He was born on March 11, 1963, in Beaumont, Texas to his loving parents Carol Lee Elliott Brown and James William Brown, Jr.
He married at a young age to Loretta, the mother of his two beautiful beloved daughters, Rebecca Brown LeBlanc and Rachel Brown married to Ginger, all of Silsbee. He was blessed with his grandchildren, Dixie LeBlanc, Jensen LeBlanc, Jaxon Powers, and joining them in a couple of weeks, Harrison Powers. He was a proud Peepaw and would share stories and pictures of them with everyone.
Wayne’s love for his family and friends was immense. He was a sweet and compassionate person who often helped those in need. This is a trait he learned growing up from his parents and shared with his two siblings, John “Wesley” Brown and Pauline Brown, both of whom he cherished. He was adored by his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Although he was taken too early, he lived life to the fullest and by his own rules. He loved to share stories and memes with his family and friends. He grew up with a passion and love for the outdoors and in his younger years you would find him hunting, trapping, and fishing with his dad.
He spent his last years living in Breckenridge with his girlfriend, Susan Hamaker, working as a taxidermist, a career that he loved and in which he was truly gifted.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Zane and Hazel Elliott and JW Brown, Sr. and Edith Brown; his mother, Carol Lee Brown; his former wife, Loretta Johnson; and sister-in-law, Susan Brown.

Wayne and I grew up together as neighbors. We hunted, fished, trapped, shot firearms, and bows.
We roamed the woods and fished Tiger creek a lot. He was my best friend for many years and will be missed by everyone.
Thanks for all of our memories together Wayne, I love you Brother!
