Jo Flickinger

“Jo”, as she was known by family and friends, passed quietly away on May 10, 2021, at home with her daughters by her side. 

Jo lived many years in Winnie, Texas until her husband’s retirement when they moved to Oklahoma. She loved to paint, write poetry, crochet, and teach her grandkids how to swim. She was very proud her American Indian heritage of the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma. 

She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Helms of California; Debbie Miller (Bailey) of Oklahoma; Jana Cameron (Steve) of Texas; sons, Jody Flickinger of Oklahoma, and Lindy Flickinger of Missouri; brothers, Frank Workmon (Carmen) of Maryland and Jerry Workmon (Denise) of Oklahoma; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Ada Workmon; husband, Floyd, Sr.; son, Floyd, Jr.; brothers, Bob, Richard, Tom, Buck, and Dave Workmon; and sister, Mary Lou Willis. 

A memorial service for Mrs. Flickinger will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, Winnie.
