Jo Theresa Angelo Audilet

November 29, 1939 - July 25, 2022

Jo Theresa Angelo Audilet, 82, of Beaumont, died Monday, July 25, 2022, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont, after a long illness.

She was born November 29, 1939, in Beaumont, Texas, to Jake and Sara Angelo and lived all her life in Beaumont.  She met the love of her life, Raymond L. Audilet and they lived in Beaumont proper before moving to their ranch the “Lazy A”, where they lived out the remainder of their 62 years together.

Jo graduated from Lamar University.  Fresh out of college, she was secretary for the Dean of LU during the day and taught night classes while Raymond was in the army. She later worked as a leasing agent at Park Dale Mall then became the secretary for the business manager of BISD. She completed her long career as a schoolteacher for BISD.

Jo is survived by her husband, Raymond Audilet; sons, Steve Audilet, and his wife Cherise; Ron Audilet, and his girlfriend, Jan Ballard; grandchildren, Hunter Audilet and his wife, Jessica; Summer Audilet and her husband, Jacob Howard; Parker, Heavin, and Grayson Audilet; great grandson, Gatlin Audilet; brother, Jake Angelo and his wife, Sherri; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by their daughter, Cheryl; parents, Jake and Sara Angelo; and sister, Alice Horn.

A gathering of Mrs. Audilet’s family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 29, 2022, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont, with her interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
