Joan “Nanny” Sclerandi

February 18, 1937 - January 4, 2026

Joan “Nanny” Sclerandi, 88, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026. She was born on February 18, 1937, in Liverpool, England, and carried her strength, warmth, and unmistakable spirit with her throughout her life.

Known lovingly as “Nanny,” Joan had a zest for life that never faded. She loved shopping especially her cherished trips to Dillard’s weekly visits to the beauty salon, afternoons at the casino, and, of course, her daily cups of tea enjoyed both morning and afternoon. She was always ready for a grand adventure and would have been deeply offended if anyone ever thought of leaving her behind.

More than anything, Joan adored her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the center of her world, and her love for them was unwavering and unconditional. You could always find her surrounded by family, laughter, and stories fully present and endlessly devoted.

She is survived by her children, Richard Sclerandi and his wife, Bobbie Jo; Suzanne Sclerandi and her husband, Lane Duhe; and Judy Landry and her husband, Kevin; grandchildren, Johnathan Leon; Rhett Roccaforte; Shelby Sclerandi; Clete Philyaw; Heath Sclerandi; Bobby Allison and his wife, Nicole; Bailey Allison; Avery Emery and her husband, Chris; and Colin Sclerandi; great-grandchildren, Addison, Ava, Emi, Skylar, Kitty, S.J., and Jett; sister, Hazel McLoughlin; and brother, William McCudden.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixty-four years, Rudolph Joseph Sclerandi, and her daughter, Donna Sclerandi.

Joan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy lives on in the generations she cherished, the memories she created, and the love she gave so freely.

Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.

Cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
