JoAnn Chapman

JoAnn Chapman, 84, of Beaumont, died Monday, December 6, 2021, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on August 31, 1937, to Bertie McBride Hutchinson and William R. Hutchinson, in Dry Prong, Louisiana. JoAnn was an avid LSU and Dallas Cowboys fan who also enjoyed shopping and reading.

Survivors include her daughter, Nicole Hawthorne and her husband, Lanny, of Beaumont; brother, Butch Hutchinson of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Kaley Sheffield and her husband, David and Joshua Lawrence and his wife, Emily; great-grandchildren, Cole Watson Sheffield, Darcy Lawrence, and Lilly Lawrence.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Gayle Chapman; and daughter, Kim Lawrence.

A gathering of Mrs. Chapman’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 10, 2021, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont.
