JoAnn Jones

September 15, 1938 - November 14, 2020

JoAnn Jones, 82, of China, died Saturday, November 14, 2020. She was born on September 15, 1938 to Amelia Borque and Joseph A Guidry in Beaumont. She retired from Security Finance seventeen years ago as a District Supervisor. JoAnn lived in China since 1979, she was an avid reader, listened to books on tape, and loved her three cats: Millie, Brooks, and Lil Bit.

She is survived by her husband, Gary L. Jones, of China; daughter, Pat Franklin and her husband, Russ, of China; son, Charles Armstrong, of Beaumont; sister, Barbara Tanner, of Beaumont; grandchildren, John Chisum Franklin, of Beaumont, Summer Brook Garrett, of Dallas, Jerrett Ray Armstrong and his wife, Amanda, of Orange, Charles Neal Cross, of Houston, Jeremy J. Cross, of Sealy, and Robert Andrew Franklin and his wife, Hannah Joe, of Knoxville, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Everly Faith Franklin and Tyler Franklin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of Mrs. Jones’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 19, 2020, at China Cemetery.
