Joe Everett Hinson, Sr.
Joe Everett Hinson, Sr., 83, of Silsbee, died Tuesday, March 10, 2026. He was born on April 5, 1942, in Buna, to Ada Mae Byerly Hinson and Cazzie Royal Hinson.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Retha Hinson; sons, Joe Everett Hinson, Jr. and his wife, Nicky; and Joel Eric Hinson and his wife, Diann, all of Buna; honorary daughter, Holly Gethright and her husband, Chris, of Gist; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hinson of Buna; Nikki Baldwin and her husband, Jonathan, of Greenville, Mississippi; Jacob Hinson and his wife, Gayle, of Vidor; Samantha Zernial and her husband, Dalton, of Vidor; Ryan Hinson of Buna; Brock Hinson of Buna; Destiny Zamarripa of Buna; Charles Ebarb and his wife, Rachelle, of Vidor; Kimberly Castillo and her husband, Alex, of Buna; Raylee Trahan of Buna; Mallori Anderson; Laci Gethright and her friend, Ethan; and Natali Gethright; eighteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, R.Z. Hinson, Robert Hinson, Bobby Jack Hinson, David Hinson, John Henry Hinson, and Junior Hinson.
A gathering of Mr. Hinson’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2026, At Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2026, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Antioch Cemetery, Buna.

I love this man so much. I wish I could see him come in the store just one more time.
