John “Bugger” Breaux

March 3, 1963 - April 7, 2022

John “Bugger” Breaux, 59, of Nederland, died Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on March 3, 1963, to Margaret Vernice “Mom Breaux” Morgan Breaux and Eldes John “E.J.” Breaux, Sr., in Port Arthur.

Bugger was a Catholic by faith, a friend if you ever needed one. He never met a stranger. His smile and charisma was contagious. He loved his family and all the friends he met along his journey in life. In his younger years, Bugger worked as an auto mechanic, then a lineman, then became disabled at an early age.  He moved to Colorado for some years, where he loved entertaining everyone on Facebook with pictures of the beautiful scenery there and his walks along the park with his beloved dog/friend, Buttercup.

Survivors include his sister, Ellen Dekerlegand and her husband, Terry, of Mauriceville; brothers, Greg Breaux, Groves and Alvin Breaux, Nederland; sister, Patti Stout and her husband, Randy, Winnie; brother, Eldes John “Junior” Breaux, Winnie; nieces, Shanna Dickson, Morgan Varana, Stephanie Fore and husband, Kerry, Christy Breaux, Heather Broussard and husband, Trey, Sabrie Alexis Breaux, Katy Stout, Stacy Dekerlegand; nephews, Kenny Frank, Jr and wife, Angela, Chris Flowers and wife, Angel, Phillip Breaux, Eric Marrow and wife, Jennifer, Shane Stout, Chris Breaux, Eric Dekerlegand and wife, Danielle; great-nieces and nephews include; Jacob Trahan, Taylor Trahan Pelt and husband, Colton, Bryce Trahan, Kennedy Frank, Abbey Frank, Avery Fore, Corbin Fore, Andrea Flowers, Rebecca Flowers, Olivia Flowers, Christian Flowers, Julian Flowers, Haylee Dore, Tate Dore, Marissa Licatino, Macie Licatino, Hailey Callahan, Abbey Marrow, Baylee Marrow, Kelsey Wright, and Justin Wright, Jr.; and great-great nieces and nephews include Brooks Pelt, Hudson Dore, Haydan Jackson, Gwendolyn Jackson, and Riley Dekerlegand.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Calvin Breaux; niece, Anni Breaux; nephew, Nicholas Breaux; sisters-in-laws, Debbie Breaux and Kim Breaux, and his sweet, adorable Buttercup.

A burial of Mr. Breaux’s cremated body will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, 101 Block Street, Port Neches. A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Sneaky Pete’s, 3900 Pure Atlantic, Groves.

His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

    I am so sad to hear this.Boogar was so full of life.Never saw him sad.I wish i had kept up with him more,I just thought he would live forever.I loved him like a brother and he will always be in my prayers and my heart,At least when my time comes I will look for him because he will have it all figured out.

    Bugger, I am so thankful that Greg let me know you were in the hospital and we had that last alone time to really visit. I’ll be forever grateful. I known you were in pain and I hated seeing you suffer. You suffer no more my friend. You will be forever remembered by the kind and loving heart that you had, and the Fairness you always display in our childhood games. Yes you were always the couch, lol. I love you buddy!!     My cousin Bugger and I chatted on Facebook. I enjoyed viewing the scenery pictures he posted often. His comments were always cheerful. I’m sad to know there won’t be anymore postings. Rest in Peace Bugger.
