John E. Broussard

John E. Broussard, 80, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born on December 10, 1940, to Eula Abshire and Leo Ben Broussard, in Beaumont. John started out as a rice farmer where he later went to work for Goodyear Tire & Rubber. He worked for 31 years before retiring in 2001. He and his wife traveled to Alaska for 3 months and continued their travels throughout his retirement. John enjoyed his family, fishing, gardening and working in his yard he was so proud of. John was loved by everyone and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his children, Coy Broussard and his wife, Terri; Cammie Hankamer and her husband, Mitch; Kelly Cothern and her husband, Jay; and Brandan “B.J.” Broussard; grandchildren, Aaron Broussard and his wife, Amy; Garrett Broussard and his wife, Tori; Chelsie Crainer and her husband, Michael; Lexi Farris; and Austin Broussard; great-grandchildren, Madison, Ian, Avery, Emileigh, Luke, Jacqlynn, and Jordan; and brother, Wade Broussard.

He is preceded in death by parents and wife, Judy Broussard.

A gathering of Mr. Broussard’s family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m. with his funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.
