John Jay Teller, Sr.
John Jay Teller, Sr., born September 14, 1965, in Groves, Texas passed away August 17, 2025, at the age of 59.
John lived a life defined by service, strength, and love for his family. He was a proud father, a dedicated soldier, a skilled shop manager, and a passionate trapper who valued hard work and resilience. Those who knew him will remember his strong spirit, his sense of humor, and the way he always made time for the people he loved.
He is survived by his children: John Teller, Jr., Kathryn Alvarez, Hope Dozier, Jacob Lemire, Joseph Teller, and John Wayne Richard, as well as numerous beloved grandchildren who brought him endless pride and joy.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Broussard’s Mortuary in Nederland, Texas. The Gathering will begin at 3:00 p.m., with the service following at 4:00 p.m.
John will be laid to rest with military honors at the Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. sharp.

John will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
