John Lacy Baxter, Jr.
John Lacy Baxter, Jr., 67, of China, died Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born on November 20, 1954, to Myrtle Millner Baxter and John Lacy Baxter, Sr., in Beaumont.
John was a fan of country music and played guitar and bass and was an avid dog lover. He was a devoted husband of 44 years.
Survivors include his wife, Genevieve Baxter; daughter, Misty Baxter of Pasadena; sisters, Judy Baxter of Houston and Candy Walkins and her husband, Paul, of Beaumont; brother, Robert Baxter and his wife, Tina, of Lumberton; and fourteen nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering of Mr. Baxter’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Broussard’s. His interment will follow at China Cemetery, China.
