John Richard Craus
John Richard Craus, 93, of Village Mills, died Sunday, February 16, 2025. He was born on October 22, 1931, in McKinney, Texas, to Doris Cummins Craus and Erwin Craus. He was United States Army veteran and served during the Korean War.
Survivors include his children, John Craus, Jr. and his wife, Jeania, of Port Acres; Jeanie Wiggins of Orange; Laura Trahan and her husband, Jimmy, of Orange; Darryl Craus and his wife, Karry, of Fort Worth; Mike Salim and his wife, Susan, of Beaumont; Mitch Salim of Beaumont; and Susanne Salim of Plano; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Craus; brother, Buddy Craus; and sister, Patricia Craus.
His committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Darryl: I was sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. As you know he holds a special place in my heart and I will never forget him. My prayers are with you and your family.
John will be missed by everyone in Wildwood. Always driving around visiting with everyone. Always talking about how much he missed Mary. We will cherish our paper towel holder that he made us. I’m pretty sure he made one for everyone in the neighborhood. Sending prayers and hugs to his family.
