Joyce Ann Gunter

Joyce Ann “Moma Joyce” Gunter, 74, of Spurger, died Friday, Decmeber 2, 2022. She was born on May 13, 1948, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, to Imogene Wilson Whaley and Ollie Whaley.

Survivors include her sisters, Elizabeth Poncho and her husband, Elwin, and Dona Norsworthy and her husband, Randy, of Spurger; nieces, Vanessa Poncho and Kim Poncho; nephews, Jamie Norsworthy  and his wife, Jessica; Christopher Norsworthy and his wife, Christina, and Michael Poncho; stepsons, Wayne Gunter and his wife, Laurie; Weldon Gunter; and Ronald Gunter; grandchildren, Laura Marie Gunter and her husband, Roger; Paul Gunter and his wife, Alesha; Stacey Gunter; Holly Gunter; Eric Gunter and his wife, Maria; and numerous great-great-grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jean Wilson; husband of 48 years, Malcom Gunter; great-granddaughter, Katie Porras; and sister, Willie Mae Wolfe.

Mrs. Gunter’s graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Franks Branch Cemetery, Fred.
