Joyce Valenciano

On July 21st, 2022, Joyce L. Valenciano, 95, went to her eternal home after a long life lived here on earth. She was born in Beaumont, Texas to Felix and Antonia LeBlanc Thibodeaux on February 24, 1927.

Joyce loved good food, good music and good dancing! She enjoyed many long- termed friendships and appreciated the time that she spent with her friends and family. Joyce’s smile was always a welcomed addition to any gathering. She loved God and reading her Bible and she was a member of Harvest Time Church of God in Crosby, Texas.

Joyce is survived by her children, son, Charles Gagliano and daughter, Phyllis Svrcek. She is also survived by her 6 grandsons, Glen Cowan, John Cowan, Calvin Burton, Brandon Gagliano, Gary Gagliano, and Kenneth Gagliano. Joyce was also blessed with several great and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lewis Valenciano; brother, Willard Thibodeaux; sister, Pearl Simmons; and son, Wade Burton.

A gathering of Mrs. Valenciano’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2022, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
