Juanita Gonzalez de Zapata, 66, of Beaumont, died Monday, July 15, 2024. She was born on April 25, 1958, in Nava, Mexico, to Pedro and Teodora Gonzalez.

She will be remembered as a Mother who always fought to give her children a better life. She always kept us in her prayers. A brave Mother who fought till the End.

Survivors include her children, Veronica Zapata Gonzales and her husband, Manuel Valenzuela; Vanessa Zapata Gonzales; Hector Javier Zapata Gonzales; and Edith Zapata Rosales and her husband, Luis Rosales, Jr.; grandchildren, Josue Beltran, Ismael Beltran, Yaquelin Beltran, Evelyn Rosales, and Emberly Rosales; great-grandchildren, Mariana Beltran, Isai Beltran, Abril Beltran, Abel Garcia, and Emily Sanchez; siblings, Sarita San Miguel, Jose Gonzales, Rosa Gonzales, Isabell Hurtado Gonzales, Rita Gonzales, Gregoria Ritchie, and Patricia Carillo Gonzales.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hector Zapata Torres; and sibling, Margarita Lopez Gonzales.

A gathering of Mrs. Gonzalez de Zapata’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, July 21, 2024, with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., at La Iglesia Apostolica, 777 North Fourth Street, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery, Beaumont.
