Juanita Lee Welch

Juanita Lee Welch, 97, of Port Arthur, died Sunday, December 8, 2024. She was born on March 2, 1927, in Alexandria, Louisiana, to Liddie Racheal and John Ortigo.

Juanita loved her family and spending time together, she especially looked forward to celebrating the holidays with them. Juanita also enjoyed Dr. Pepper and Mexican food.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Beebe; granddaughter, Cherie Owen and her husband, Chris; and great-grandchildren, Darian Owen and Keegan Owen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Luther A. Welch; son, Ronald Beebe; sisters, Ezell McCullough and Tennie Guinn; and brothers, Kenny Ortigo.

Memorial contributions for Mrs. Welch may be may to an organization of one’s choice.

Cremation arrangements for Mrs. Welch were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
