Judge Ward was an old family friend. He was probably closer to my uncle Jim who was a gun enthusiast. He also married me and my late husband in his pawn shop. My mother had also worked briefly for Ms. Ruby Ward. My parents were Tommy and Edith Stephens. My deepest condolences to the family of a great man!

My mom worked at the store beside Dairy Queen, Judge Ward, R.A.Balla, Robert Farmer, and a few other gentleman were what we called the coffee club. Every morning they would stand around drink coffee and get caught up on all the going ons in Silsbee. He was a pleasure to talk to and a great friend to my parents. RIP in Peace Judge.
