Julia Fukuda Cotten

Julia Fukuda Cotten, 90, of Spring and formerly of Saratoga, died Sunday, July 18, 2021.  She was born on February 25, 1931, in Port Arthur, to Emma Anderson Fukuda and Frank Fukuda.  Julia spent most of her life in Kountze and Saratoga.  She spent the last ten years living near her niece, Shirlene, in Spring.

Survivors include her niece, Shirlene James and her husband, Dr. Tim Crist, of Spring; nephew, Frank Hopkins of Beaumont; niece, Carman Oliver Gray and her husband, Keith; nephew, Jay Oliver and his wife, Debbie; and nephew, John Tyndall and his wife, Judy. She is preceded in death by her parents, Emma and Frank Fukuda; husband, Lester Cotten; sisters, Betty Jean James, Shirley Oliver, Eunice Louie; brother, Ray Fukuda; and niece, Cindy Louis.

A graveside service for Mrs. Cotten will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Felps Cemetery, Felps Cemetery Road, Thicket, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
