Karen Sue Turner
Karen Sue Turner, 75, of Lumberton, died Thursday, February 6, 2025. She was born on August 15, 1949, in Beaumont, Texas, to Birdie Nitzsche Riley and Burt Riley.
Survivors include her children, Katrina Waldrop of Louisiana; Paul Payne and his wife, Holly, of Silsbee; Robert Turner of Honey Island; Jimmy Turner of Bridge City; Tommy Toronjo and his wife, Kristy, of Kountze; Misti Turner of Warren; and Tara Priest and her husband, Danny, of Lumberton; seventeen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Dr. Thomas Riley and his wife, Dr. Bonnie Riley, of Naples Florida; Catherine Morvant of Georgetown; and Patricia Mullin and her husband, Mike, of Canton. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Charles Riley.
A gathering of her family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her funeral will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Broussard’s. Her interment will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.

We are so very sorry for the loss of our friend and neighbor. To her family thank you all for sharing Karen with Grady and I. We shared the love of gardening morning coffee time lunches shopping. and of course Gods word.
Karen was a amazing women.when she talked about her family her beautiful eyes would light up. We met a lot of you some we haven’t. Please know your mother was a gift to us and we will miss her terribly Our prayers are with you all.
