Karl Oszczakiewicz

December 4, 1958 - December 14, 2020

Karl William Oszczakiewicz died unexpectedly on December 14, 2020, of natural causes. 

He was born on December 4, 1958, the son of Thomas Jastrzab Oszczakiewicz and Annabel Dickerson VanSchoubroek. Karl graduated from French High School in 1977 where upon he became a pipefitter’s apprentice at Local 195. He attended Lamar University and ultimately became a draftsman for Omega Engineering. A severe motor vehicle accident ended his career, and for the last several years he resided at Brookdale Assisted Living on Dowlen Road in Beaumont.  

Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Frazier and her husband, Ryan; son, Jason Oszczakiewicz; daughters, Stacie Bauer and her partner, Colleen; and Gabriella Oszczakiewicz; grandchildren, Isabela Mandujano, Jasper Frazier, Jacinth Frazier, Ellianna Oszczakiewicz, and Jett Oszczakiewicz; and siblings, Julie Cokinos; Suzanne Grable and her husband, Richard; Dr. Michael Oszczakiewicz and his wife, Rhonda; and Mary Lee and her husband, Bryan.  

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Rosary for Mr. Oszczakiewicz will be recited at 5:30 p.m. with a gathering of family and friends to follow until 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2020, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Magnolia Cemetery, 2291 Pine Street, Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers the family requests gifts directed to Lamar University Foundation for the Thomas Oszczakiewicz Memorial Scholarship in Engineering. Mail gifts to Lamar University Foundation, P. O. Box 11500, Beaumont, TX 77710 or use www.lamar.edu/give.Those who wish to honor the memory of Karl Oszczakiewicz may do so by making a donation to the scholarship endowment at Lamar University in memory of Mr. Thomas W. Oszczakiewicz.
