    Michael and Lance:
I am profoundly sorry to read about Kathy’s passing. Your mother was one of the kindest, most generous ladies I have ever known. She was one of my students at Lamar University. She was a welcome presence in the classroom, and her classmates and I very much appreciated her insights and her almost magical way of drawing people into class discussions. I will sorely miss her, and I am very sorry for your loss. My prayers are for you, and may God bless you.
