Kelly McCullough
Kelly Ray McCullough, 48, of Nederland, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. He was born February 27, 1973, in Port Arthur, to Carrie Louise Bizot McCullough and John Gregory McCullough.
Kelly earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Lamar University, Beaumont. He was also an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed gaming, creating miniature figures and models, and going to the movies with his sons and friends. He especially loved the Star Wars and Halloween movies. Kelly truly loved his dogs and most of all he cherished his family.
Survivors include his wife of eighteen years, Jennifer McCullough, of Nederland; children, Carson Kuhn, Erica Kuhn, and Matthew McCullough; grandson, Mateo Maddox; parents, Carrie and John McCullough; brother, Ian McCullough and wife, Jessica; mother-in-law, Nancy McComic, all of Nederland; and father-in-law, James Broussard and wife, Sue, of Pipe Creek.
A gathering of Kelly’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

Sorry to hear this. Kelly was a good friend and a groomsman at my wedding, and I wish I had kept in touch better.
My sincere heartfelt condolences to the McCullough family. I’m an old friend from his elementary school days. We were best friends until 5th grade when I moved to Louisiana. Something came upon me to search his name on Google while waiting to pick up my son from school. I account it to God. It is with a heavy heart I should find his obituary. I can’t even begin to imagine the loss but I am mourning with his family. It seems from the responses left that he stayed true to the person I knew in our first years. He was truly a great guy. I have thought about those times we had growing up with fond memories. The world lost a great one. My prayers are with you McCullough family.
I just heard about the loss of my old friend today, I have not spoke to him in more than two decades but Kelly and his family cross my mind so often. He was always the voice of reason in a group of rowdy teenage skaters. I remember he broke a window once and could have walked away but Kelly the Eagle Scout he was and no better example did the right thing and that has stayed with me all these years, I think about our times together often, he was part of and involved in making some of the best memories in my life. Back then not many were granted the honor so I can say I am privileged to have been his friend. John, Carrie, Ian my deepest condolences, this is unimaginable, my love to you and all his family.
Byron, we cherish the memories as well. I so loved having you, Chad, Ian and Kelly at the house.

My friend is at rest with the Lord. I have the hope from Jesus we will meet again! There will now be an empty chair at the game table every time we gather but I know we shall game together again someday! He was the best of us. My prayers for your family and know that he was loved greatly by so many.

He loved spending time with “his boys” as he called your group. He always came home happy, because he got to do what he truly enjoyed. He worked hard painting his miniatures, and in my opinion, he was a master at. I’m thankful for you guys, and appreciate every one of you.
Jennifer, I was really sorry to hear about Kelly. Karen called us at the office and told us about it. Unbelievable. I have heard such wonderful things about him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
