Kenneth “Kenny” Bernard

January 24, 1953 - December 19, 2023

Kenny Bernard, 70, of Beaumont, Texas, died Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Born January 24, 1953, Kenny was a native and lifelong resident of Beaumont. Kenny was a retired Captain with the Beaumont Fire Department where he worked for 31 years and a member of the Beaumont Professional Fire Fighters Local Union #399. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Kenny was a master storyteller and the king of jokes and pranks, he was an avid hunter and fisherman, but his favorite pastimes came later in life, spending time with his family at the beach and being “Pappy” to his grandchildren.

Kenny is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Kim Bernard of Beaumont; his sister, Frances Shelton and husband, E.B., of Lumberton; daughters, Chelsea Miller and husband, John, of Kingwood; Samantha Fletcher of Houston; and Shanna Warrington and husband Billy, of Lumberton; and 6 grandchildren, Nathan Mott, Noah Mott and Kase Warrington, all of Lumberton and Colby Bernard, Cambri Miller and Channing Miller, all of Kingwood.

A celebration of life will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2023, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.

At Kenny’s request, please come as you are, no need to dress to impress.
