Lamar Andrew Roach, Sr.
Lamar Andrew Roach, Sr., 84, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Silsbee Oaks Health Care. He was born on January 23, 1938, to Thelma M. Broussard Roach and Romaine Roach, in Beaumont, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He was an original member of Our Lady of the Assumption and was very active in the church community. Lamar worked at Mobil Chemical for decades. He was very active in the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, and he earned the Order of the Golden Heart award from them. Lamar taught Bridge at Best Years Center for decades. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 951 and 3406 in Bridge City and was an avid deer hunter.
Survivors include his daughter, Lisa M. Ford and her husband, Steve, of Beaumont; son, Lamar A. Roach, Jr. of Beaumont; former spouse and mother of his children, Marie M. Roach; brother, Romaine Roach of Beaumont; cousins, Donald Cormicle and Marcine Mancil, both of North Carolina; and nieces and nephews, Stephanie Samaha, Diana Folsom, and David Roach.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering of Mr. Roach’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2022, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 4445 Avenue A, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 6055 South Loop East, Houston, Texas 77087.

Lamar was an interesting person and knew him as a customer and friend of the family.

Mr Roach was very special to me and now we know as much as we miss him he is totally healed and dancing with our Lord!
I fell and broke my shoulder in 2 places so I’m not going to be able to make it to his services but will be praying for all of you. If y’all ever need anything just call me. Love y’all
