Lane was one of the nicest and most respected people in the Silsbee business community and in Hardin County. He did work for us at our home and we thought so very much of him. Our thoughts are with his family.

Walter & Margaret Pierson

One of my favorite memories goes back a few years. Lane and his trusty sidekick Feather would ride over to Little's Park to Visit with Walter. I would speak to Lane and Feather and go about my business and let Walter and Lane visit.. Ever once in a while I would hear laughter. Walter's would be louder and Lane would chuckle, I figured they were trading fishing tales or possibly mishaps that happened years ago that now were now funny. Both Guys seemed to get into thoes situations in their younger years. HA When the visit was winding down somehow Feather knew without even being told and would get up From where he was lying and load up into the Golf Car. If Lane didn't get in soon Feather would give him a look, like .. COME ON .. We have other things to do! Thoes were happy days! Praying for comfort for you all. Sending our Love. ♡

I just learned about Uncle Lane late last night. And I spoke with Kevin to find out what happened. I’m so sorry for the sudden loss to you and our entire family. I’ve been working a lot more hours lately as a supervisor for the police department. I don’t understand how I missed your posts and everyone else’s posts on Sunday. I was working but I was still on social media. I was thinking how unfortunate it will be to have services for Lane that would have had 100’s of visitors that he impacted in the community with Precision Aire. But having only his immediate family in attendance is what I imagine he would have preferred anyways. Everything happens for a reason. I still remember getting the Silsbee Bee in Spain and seeing the advertisement about Precision Aire being the number one HVAC company in the entire Golden Triangle area. Me and Jason rode our bikes to Lane’s on Christmas Day as kids. Tons of memories rush back to me of Christmas and Thanksgiving and Easter gatherings at his house. I remember Stacy and Brent’s wedding in Lane’s back yard full of fresh blooming flowers and plants. Only Lane and Cindy could keep a garden paradise up that nice. We had a family dinner at Lane’s and Cindy’s when I was 17 and returned home from Army boot camp. That picture of my brothers and Mama and me in Lane’s backyard is blown up and hanging by my front door. I’m not sure, but I think it was Lane who posted my birdhouse in front of Pawpaw’s window, so Pawpaw could watch the birds fly in everyday. My memory is scrambled, but a lot of them seem to be connecting to Uncle Lane right now. That same birdhouse is mounted on your back porch now. We spent our last Christmas with Mama at Lane and Cindy’s and took pictures by his pond. Anytime I was home on leave we were welcomed to stop by the shop to fill a cooler with with Lane’s unlimited ice machine and he would always come talk to me and ask me how I was doing. Him wanting to know about me when I was rarely able to visit meant so much to me. So many memories coming back to me and connecting today. I know we have several family members in Heaven now, but if I could draw up a picture of the front porch of Heaven, it would look like Granny’s front porch. Uncle Lane and Mama sitting on the swing laughing, Granny and PawPaw sitting in lawn chairs watching the birds on the birdhouse, and Aunt Adena standing there with two tin cans of popcorn that she brought everyone every Christmas. I know it sounds cheesy, but that’s the front porch of Heaven in my mind. Please let everyone at Rita’s know they are all in my thoughts and prayers and I’m sorry I’m not able to be there at such an important time in all of our lives. I really want to be there. He impacted each of us in a very special and unique way. He will be missed but his memories will always be cherished. From Jeremy

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Only two other men have impacted my life as much as Uncle Lane, the other two being my dad and Papa Ard. Uncle Lane gave me my very first job, co-signed for my very first car without me even asking him for help and he and Aunt Cindi gave momma a house to live in while she was battling cancer. Beginning at a very young age up untill working side by side with him for over 15 years, he helped instill in me a strong work ethic, life lessons and most importantly, family values. Uncle Lane lead by example and taught me so much over the years, not just about air conditioning, but about life itself, the importance of being a real man and so much more. He was more than just an uncle to me and has had such a influence on my life and the man, husband and dad that I am today. I just wish I could have one more conversation with him and let him know how much I appreciate everything he has done for me and our family. Please tell Aunt Cindi I am so sorry and please let me know if there is anything I can do.Tell your love ones how you feel, because tomorrow isnt promised for any of us and I will truly regret this one for the rest of my life. #RIP UNCLE LANE.

So sorry to hear about Uncle Lane. The world could use lots more men like him. I’ll always remember him as the man who “handled HIS business” and didn’t dabble in everyone else’s. From the FAMILY man to the business man he was, the world will definitely miss him. Heaven has just gained one of the best there ever was.

Mary Ann Bower Tucker

Gini...I had no idea your father, Lane, had passed away until my cousin, Lou Anne Jones Parish, told me last week. My Mother loved you and your Dad and she use to talk about how nice you both were and such good students. I guess Mother has seen your Dad in Heaven now along with so many other friends. Know that I understand what you are going through as we share the same sadness from this awful virus that has separated us from their and our many friends and family. May God Bless you!
