Lane Tuminello

Lane Helveston Tuminello, dedicated husband, son, brother, and friend of many, passed away on November 1, 2022, at the age of 32, surrounded by family at home.

Lane was born to Melinda Ardoin and Dominick Helveston in Nederland, Texas.  He graduated from Westbrook High School in Beaumont before attending Texas Tech University where he studied Business Administration and Marketing. After graduating he moved to Austin, Texas where he played professional poker and met the love of his life, Erin Tuminello, née Vassar, and they eventually settled in Beaumont with their three frenchies Pablo, Ivy, and Ace.

Through the years, Lane enjoyed playing and coaching baseball, traveling, cooking, and making memories with his family and friends. He is survived by wife, Erin Tuminello; mother, Melinda Ardoin (Tony), grandparents, Etta and Claude Helveston; sister, Kelly (Troy); and his nieces and nephews: Kannon, Rhett, Carter, Mattie, Brynn, Blaire, Sloane, and Benjamin.

Lane was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, Dorothy and Dominick Tuminello; his maternal grandparents, Virginia and Haden Potter; and his uncle, Patrick Helveston.

A gathering of Lane’s family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with a Celebration of Life to follow at 12:00 p.m., Saturday November 5, 2022, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A reception is to follow at his parent’s house.

I am so very sorry for your loss of Lane. Lane was a great friend for Colby. I loved watching our boys playing ball and playing around in the pool. You can rest assured Lane is playing ball again without any pain. I pray that God has his healing arms around you and your family. Cling to God, he will bring you though the storm.
