Larry David Kimball

April 8, 1959 - March 10, 2026

Larry David Kimball, 66, of Nederland, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. During his final days, he expressed that he looked forward to meeting Jesus first when he made it to heaven. He was born April 8, 1959, in Port Arthur, to George Clarence Kimball, Jr. and Jean Catherine Kimball.

Though he is no longer with us, his family will cherish the memories made over the years. Some of his greatest family memories were made with his children at Lake Ivanhoe when they were young. Larry especially enjoyed cheering on his children and grandchildren playing sports. He has a passion for cooking and found happiness in preparing meals and bringing his family together around the table. Over the years that family grew to include the friends of his children and grandchildren. More than a few came to know him as PaPa Larry. He took great pride having grown up as the son of a serviceman and later becoming the grandfather to both a Marine and an Army soldier. Larry also enjoyed a nice cup of coffee and listening to old country music. Above all, he will be remembered for his sarcastic humor, his kind heart and his unquestionable love for his family.

Larry is survived by his daughters, Lori East and her husband, Mike of Nederland and Carolyn Hale and her husband, Wesley of Port Neches; son, Tyler Kimball and his husband, Tyson of Portland, Oregon; grandchildren, Jace Edgar and his wife, Brooke of Port Neches, Jayla Gossett of Nederland, Jason Gossett, Jr. of Port Neches, Daelyn Hale of Port Neches, and Kinsley Hale of Port Neches; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Parker Edgar. He is also survived by several siblings as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three siblings and beloved dog Sugarbear.

A gathering of Mr. Kimball’s family and friends will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 11, 2026, followed by his memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Lamplighter Baptist Church, 2330 8th Street, Port Neches. His final arrangements were handled through Broussard’s.

    Richard Allen Broom says:

Larry, Though your earthly journey has come to a close, may you lay in peace until we’re reunited with our Lord and Savior. The love you gave and the memories you created remain alive in the hearts of all who knew you and served.
May every burden be lifted, every question answered, and every step guided by grace. You are not alone, and you are not forgotten.
Until we meet again in Jesus perfect time, may peace surround you and prayers and strength lift up your family.
    In Jesus name we pray…
    Amen
