Larry William Lightfoot

June 9, 1944 - September 15, 2024

Larry William Lightfoot, 80, of Silsbee, died Sunday, September 15, 2024. He was born on June 9, 1944, to Gloria Walker and Elmer Lightfoot.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Lightfoot; children, Mona Doucet and her husband, Loren; Holly Hamm, all of Winnie; Crystal Bass of Port Arthur; and Dalton Marks of Silsbee; grandchildren, Austin Ashcraft of Austin; Madeline Hamm of Beaumont; Hayes Kirkham; Dalton Kirkham, both of Winnie; Jessica Rasnick and her husband, Ross of Kirybville; Katie McClellan and her husband, Calvin; and Caleb Kilpatrick, all of Silsbee; Seven great-grandchildren; sister, Gail Etue of Silsbee; and dear friend, Bruce Harvill.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father; his grandmother, Bessie Martin; brother, Kenneth Walker; son, Jesse Kilpatrick; and grandson, Jacob Kilpatrick.

Mr. Lightfoot served in the Army during the Vietnam War.  He retired from ARCO, went back to work with Precision Air, and retired from there as well.

To know Larry was to love him.  He was a talented musician and loved sharing his love of music with his children and family.  He enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially spending time with his dogs, whom he loved dearly, and playing solitaire.

A gathering of Mr. Lightfoot’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Broussard’s, Silsbee.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His interment will follow at Hooks-Cravey Cemetery, Silsbee.
