Lawrence “Larry” Henry Wyatt, Jr., DC, DACBR
Lawrence “Larry” Henry Wyatt, Jr., DC, DACBR, 65, of Saratoga, Texas, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025. Born on March 14, 1959, in Granite City, Illinois, he was the beloved son of Jane and Lawrence Henry Wyatt, Sr.
Larry is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Cheryl Wyatt; his son, Cole Wyatt; his sister, Tina Louise Wyatt; his mother-in-law, Theethis Page; father-in-law, Leon Page; nephews, Leslie Page and wife Mackenzie, Hayden Thomas, and Baker Thomas; and great-nephews, Asher Page and Michael Page. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry was a proud 1984 magna cum laude graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic. He completed his Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology residency in California and went on to become a Fellow of the International College of Chiropractors. His scholarly achievements were vast, including serving on editorial boards for numerous scientific journals and contributing to the Council on Chiropractic Guidelines and Practice Parameters. Larry authored two widely respected textbooks, The Handbook of Clinical Chiropractic Care and Differential Diagnosis of Neuromusculoskeletal Disorders, which remain cornerstones in chiropractic education and practice.
An Illinois native with the heart of a Texan, Larry dedicated 37 years to Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) as a Professor of Clinical Practices and Radiology, becoming the senior faculty member and an indispensable part of the institution. His role as a mentor and educator left an indelible mark on the lives of countless students and colleagues. Larry’s dedication to excellence was unwavering, and his mantra of “do more” inspired those around him to strive for greatness in their own lives and professions.
Beyond his professional legacy, Larry was a larger-than-life personality who balanced brilliance, passion, and compassion in all aspects of his life. His love for family, friends, and colleagues was boundless, and his impact on the world extended far beyond the classroom through the countless patients his students would go on to help.
Larry often said, “Leave it better than you found it,” and he lived by those words every day. His life was a testament to selfless dedication and relentless pursuit of knowledge, making the world a better place in ways we are still discovering.
As per Larry’s wishes, we are asked to celebrate his life and cherish the joy, humor, and wisdom he brought into our lives. Boo-yah, Dr. Wyatt!
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Benefactor Club at Texas Chiropractic College, 5912 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505.
Cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont, Texas.
