Lee Broussard
Lee Broussard, 86, of Nome, died Sunday, July 28, 2024. He was born on July 30, 1937, in Beaumont, to Edith Ruby Sherrod and Joseph Hathorne Broussard.
Lee was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church in Nome, Texas where he grew up. Lee was an avid hunter and fisher, and there was always a story or two following his outdoor adventures. He enjoyed spending time with his family, whether it be at the lake, supporting kids and grandkids, or just a routine hunting trip. Lee always had his bag packed and ready to go for the next excursion, wherever it may be. Throughout his life, Lee went hunting in Colorado, Alaska, Junction, and elk hunted up until he was 74 years old. He had a lot of pride in his work as a machinist and dedicated thirty-six years to DuPont. Lee was always a helping hand and was always just a phone call away.
Survivors include his daughters, Rayniel Bamert and her husband, Nick, of Muleshoe; Jeretta West and her husband, Donald, of Fredericksburg; and Ruby Schuldt and her husband, Rodger, of Dayton; grandchildren, Brett Bamert and his wife, Madison; Austin Bamert and his wife, Avery; Amy Burrier and her husband, Josh; Erin Tipps and her husband, Alex; Landon West; Ryan Schuldt; and Randy Schuldt and his wife, Sara; great-grandchildren, Brookelyn, Sadie, Riley, Willow, Sawyer, Cress, Kayleigh, Sutton, Branton, and Memphis; and numerous co-workers, friends, and extended family through the years.
Lee is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Brassier Broussard; son, Joseph Melo Broussard; parents; and brother, Joseph “Sonny” Hathorne Broussard, Jr.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Nome, P.O. Box 113, Nome, Texas 77629.
