Lee was a very dear friend, actually more like a brother to me. He and I had many wonderful times together. He and his brothers and sisters had a delightful sense of humor and their parents instilled in them a sense of love and respect for each other and for those in their world that was beautiful and sincere. Lee was faithful to serve his Savior in his church activities, his love and care for his family and many loved ones in this life. He was a solid, steady man who earned the respect of all who knew him. He will have many ‘good works to follow him into eternity” because he was faithful to do what he could for his fellow believers and those he loved and who loved him. The Word of God has many encouragements regarding the hope we have as believers in Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ when they pass on to their reward in Glory. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. Revelation 14:13 “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.” ‘’1 Thessalonians 4:13 Sorrowing for the companionship and fellowship we’ve all had with him is natural and expected…..may it be expressed with tears, memories, appreciation and thankfulness to God for allowing us to experience having him in our lives. He will be missed but not forgotten as we continue to strive to be the kind of person he was for 85 years.

Our precious brother will be greatly missed. Bro. Lee always had a smile and something funny to say. He was “grandpa” to many of the younger generation. What a great journey he traveled through life. Blessed beyond measure with a most wonderful wife and wonderful daughters, I simply cannot be saddened that he is in glory now; just saddened for the family and friends he left behind. My deepest sympathies for his sweet wife and his family. It was an honor to know him.

Wow, I was looking up another friends obituary when I came across Lees. This guy was one of my favortie drivers when I worked for Acme. He was always professional and willing to go the extra mile to take care of the customers. I enjoyed working with him immensely. May God be with you family and strengthen and comfort you as Lee is received back home with our Lord and Saviour, Amen.
