Linda Ann Skarke

Linda Ann Skarke, 72, of Beaumont, died Thursday, August 19, 2021. She was born on September 15, 1948, in Lufkin, to L.M. Bentley and Michael Turner.

Linda loved spending time with family, cooking, and entertaining. She was a friend to everyone she met. She had a way of making people feel their true worth when she spoke to them. Linda lit up a room with her never-ending positive energy. She valued the sanctity of all life, sitting with many family members as they were sick or dying. Regarding her death, she always said not to be sad; that she was just going on ahead to prepare a place for her family.

Survivors include her husband, Ed Skarke; children, Tom Mosley and his wife, Nancy; Laura Dart and her husband, Brian; Eddie Skarke and his wife, Veronica; and Charles Skarke; grandchildren, Lauren Mosley, Matthew Mosley, Troy Davis, Jace Davis, Chelsea Dart, Alexis Dart, Halle Dart, Jack Dart, Gabby Skarke, and Harlan Skarke; Siblings, Michael Turner; and cousins, Sharlene Mullikan and her husband, Ron; Tom Fulton; and Sharon Thompson.

Linda is preceded in death by her mother and father; sister, Gloria Turner; and grandson, Austin Skarke.

A gathering of Mrs. Skarke’s family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Cremation arrangements for Mrs. Skarke were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.
