Linda Felder

Linda Dawn Felder, 74, of Port Acres, died Thursday, November 11, 2021, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. She was born September 12, 1947, in Phillips, Texas, to Dawn Lucille Fitzjarrald Hughes and Doyle Price Hughes.

Linda was a dedicated and active member of her community. Over the years she committed much of her time as a member or participant in The Order of The Eastern Star; Daughters of the Nile; Social Order of the Beauceant; KAIROS; Emmaus Community; Southeast Texas Veterans Group; and the Women’s Auxiliary of the Cashan Grotto. Linda was also the Sunday School superintendent of her church and she served as a board member for The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.

Linda enjoyed crafting and working with her hands such as needlepoint, arranging flowers, and decorating cakes.  She loved artwork and traveling. Above all else, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and was a wonderful “Nina” to them all.

Survivors include her daughter, Camille Luke and husband, Tim, of Pearland; grandchildren, Andrew, Peter, and Hannah Luke; sisters, Betty Poplin, of Groves and Jean Heubach and husband, Carl, of Nederland; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dawn and Doyle Hughes; husband, Jeff R. Felder III; and son, James Robert Felder.

A gathering of Mrs. Felder’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12^th Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
