Linda “Joyce” Benoit
Linda “Joyce” Benoit, 81, of Bastrop, formerly of Winnie, died Sunday, April 19, 2026, in Austin, TX.
She was born to Hilda Breaux Royer and Kirby Royer on October 3, 1944, in Port Arthur, TX.
Survivors include daughter, Lori Hinze; son, Donny Wood and wife Jerri; son, Chad Benoit and wife, Kelli; daughter, Jill McGlothlin and husband Charles; grandson Case Benoit, granddaughters Annie Wood, Callie Benoit and Colbie Benoit and extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, David Paul Benoit.
In lieu of flowers, we invite you to have a tree planted in Israel via Jewish National Fund USA to honor mom’s love for Israel and her impact on so many friends and family. May her memory live on in the world.
A gathering of Mrs. Benoit’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
