Linda Sue "Lucy" Moore

September 26, 1954 - January 19, 2021

Linda Sue “Lucy” Moore, 66, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on September 26, 1954, to Betty Ruth Leone Moore and George Moore, in San Antonio.

Lucy retired from the Harley Davidson company after many years. She was a dedicated member of the Elks Lodge in Beaumont and liked to spend time at The West. Lucy enjoyed, not only her own flower beds, but everyone else’s too. It wasn’t uncommon for her family to look out their windows to see her watering their flowers without even knowing that she was coming over. Lucy had a beautiful smile, contagious laugh, and was a giver to others, but most of all, she loved both her family and God more than anything else.

Survivors include her daughter, Christy Lyons of Beaumont; son, Joshua Langley of Lumberton; granddaughter, Ashlyn Dishman and her husband, Josey, of Beaumont; grandson, Kayden Licatino of Silsbee; great-grandchildren, Ireland, Ryce, and Legend; brothers, Lamar Moore and his wife, Donna, of Beaumont and Jessie Moore of Vidor; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A gathering of Ms. Moore’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 22, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, Vidor. The link to the livestream- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xhn7MdCutqA&feature=youtu.be.

Linda was a beautiful Lady inside as well as out! She loved her family with all her heart and soul! Her friends were very important as well! She was full of life, love and laughter! Never met a stranger and always ready to lend a hand. We have had some good times at the beach and her home as well! Always made you feel at home and ready to cook for everyone and play games. So happy I was blessed with her crossing my path several years ago! She loved Jesus and I know she is in a happy place and putting a smile on everyone’s face. I will truly miss this fine outstanding lady. Love you my friend!❤️

Linda you were the kind of person that could brighten anyone’s day! I truly admired you and your love of life! You never met a stranger no matter where you were, I know we didn’t see each other often but when we did it was like we always picked up where we left off. I don’t want to say this just isn’t fair because only God knows when it is our time... I’ll always remember your laugh and love of life! RIP MY SWEET FRIEND!

I grew up with Kristy and remember when Ashlyn was just a baby. Linda always had a smile and a welcoming heart. I remember one of the times sitting in her beautiful groomed backyard I believe in her home in Lumberton. Such great memories. I want to send my condolences and prayers to Kristy, Ashlyn, Josh, and all family and friends. May God send you peace and comfort through this most difficult time. Love, Brandi, Mark, and Noah.

Such sad news to hear. I met Linda in the mid 90's when she visited the UK with my cousin Bonnie. We had a wonderful day out when I took them sight seeing in London and I remember a fun night out showing the Texans our local nightclub and dancing the night away. Linda was a lovely lady, condolences to your family and friends.
