Lloyd Slone

May 28, 1937 - October 1, 2023

Lloyd Slone, 86, of Evadale, died Sunday, October 1, 2023.  He was born on May 28, 1937, to Bessie and Truett Slone.

Lloyd retired from BNSF, working on the bridge gang after over thirty years of service.  He enjoyed playing golf and building hog pens.  He will forever remain a loving husband, father, and Pawpaw.

Survivors include his wife of twenty-eight years, Terri Slone; sons, David Ray Cole and his wife, Tina, of Evadale and Jason Cole and his wife, Ashley, of College Station; daughter, Shantel Richardson and her husband, Carlton, of Evadale; grandchildren, Randi, Lane, Madison, Jeston, Carston, Zoey, Jacey, Aidan, Gavin, Sadie, Charlie, Chandler, and Chaney; great-grandchildren, Braxton, Hagen, and Hudson; brothers and sisters-in-laws; numerous other family and friends; and he will be especially missed by his faithful canine companion, Sassy.  He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Juanell.

His committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
