Lois Gallien
Lois Gallien, 91, of Beaumont, died Thursday, June 2, 2022, at CHI St. Luke’s Health – Memorial Hospital, San Augustine. She was born December 21, 1930, to Ola L. Self and Thomas E. Self, in Sabine County. Lois worked as a BISD Cafeteria Manager for twenty-six years.
Survivors include her sons, Wendell Crow and his wife, Lenelle, of Lampasas; Mark Crow and his wife, Kathy Rogers and Joseph Crow and his wife, Julia, all of Beaumont; sister, Gladys Shettles of Hillister; grandchildren, David Crow of Beaumont, Michelle Crow of Dallas, Jessica Crow of Waco, Brooke Rogers of Nederland, Nicholas Rogers of Groves, and Alexa Dreyer and Leah Raykovich, both of Austin; and numerous great-grandchildren.
A gathering of Mrs. Gallien’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

I remember well Lois and Ciecl, and always enjoyed visiting with them at the Self reunion. The last time I saw Lois was in the parking lot of Elainea’s Restaurant. I was there for lunch with friends, and the ignition switch on her car was jammed. My parents car was the same model, and did the same thing, so I knew just what to do to unjam it. It had to be God looking out for her. I’m sure He’s taking care of her now.

To Wendell, Mark and Joe and family. I was so sadden to hear the passing of Aunt Lois.
She was always like a second mom to me and grandmother to my kids. I will miss calling her on mothers day. Back in October 2021 me and my wife Zu came to Beaumont and took her out to Cracker Barrel and drove around town to get her out for a while and we just talked and laugh about the old days while I was growing up and spending the night at y’all house with Joe. And no one can every forget coming over to the house and celebrate Christmas eve. She always had the nac to make it fun and special. I want y’all to know I loved your mom and she will always hold a special place in my heart.

Lois was a lovely lady. She was always so friendly and kind, showing interest in all of us since we were boys growing up. Later, always asking about my wife, children, and grandchildren.
A grand lady, she will be missed.
