Mr. Brown had been on my mind frequently over the past few months, and now I know why. I’m truly saddened to learn of his passing. I was a neighbor in a cabin down by the creek for a while. He was a Godly man that always put the best example forward. I thank him for all the kindness he showed. Judy, please accept my sincere condolences to you and the girls. He was one of a kind.

    Shanna Brown says:

I love you dad. You were my best friend and I never realized till I was older the sacrifices you made in life. I could always count on you for the best advice. I knew I could ask you anything and you knew the right answers. I will miss you with every fiber of my being. I am sorry the last years of your life was full of sadness, but we as a family were sad with you. You knew we were there we just couldn’t save you. You are now at peace in the loving arms of Jesus. Rest easy now until we meet again. I love you. Shanna

Lonnie and I were 9 months apart and lived next door to each other with a dirt road between us. We were a hoot. We both jumped off the garage apt in his back yard. His mama tried to kill us. We climbed the mulberry tree in the ally and got that everywhere. We fixed a match box with a lizard inside and gave it to his mom. She really tried to kill us then. He played the steel guitar. Don’t know what happened to that. Short lived. Halloween was wonderful. We spent weeks tearing up paper to put in yards. In other words we were pains in the b…. But we had a glorious time. Farewell friend. Sandra

I’ve known Lonnie since Edwards Elementary days, and remember lots of special events we went through all those school years. Our class of ’59 will remember him always.

Even though I can’t be there to share in a tribute to his life, know he touched many people, and I will be in prayer for each of you.

    Milton Dominy says:

Sorry for passing of Lonnie. Known him since Edward’s Elementary. Bless the Brown Family.
