She met Narlin B. Beaty, the love of her life, shortly before he joined the Navy and after his discharge he went to work for DuPont in Orange, Texas. They married and moved to Groves, Texas. where they raised their 3 children: Narlin Beaty, Jr. (wife Susan) of Phoenix, Maryland; Marlyse Beaty Summer (husband Stephen) of Austin, Texas and Yvette Beaty Payne of Montgomery, Texas.
After Narlin’s retirement from DuPont Sabine River Works, they moved back to Beaumont where they both had family. Loyce and Lonnie built their dream retirement home where Loyce continued to live. Following Hurricane Harvey, Loyce moved to Montgomery, Texas where she continued to enjoy time with family and friends.
Loyce was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Narlin (Lonnie), her parents, sister Janice See of Brisbane, Australia and brother Daryl Harbin of Diamond Bar, California.

She cherished those times and was proud of each and every one of them.

She was the first registered Suzuki piano teacher in the area and an active member of the Pt. Arthur and Beaumont Music Teachers Associations. After moving to Beaumont, she also taught piano for five years at a Montessori school.
