Lucien Hebert

April 3, 1957 - August 3, 2018

Lucien Hebert, 61, of Nederland, died Friday, August 3, 2018. He was born on April 3, 1957, in Port Arthur, to Rose Cammareri Hebert and Curly Hebert.

Lucien married his high school sweetheart in 1980. He started at the Port Neches post office in 1983 as a letter carrier, where he retired in March of 2014. Lucien enjoyed fishing, camping, working on his 1965 Mustang, and playing football. He was an incredible athlete and loved sports and would yell at his favorite team on television. Lucien supported his kids in sports, music, and theatre. He loved helping family, friends, and anyone else in the community and he never met a stranger. Lucien enjoyed being with friends and could always make someone laugh. He enjoyed watching the cooking channel and making different meals and was a master craftsman when dealing with wood and small engines. Lucien also had a green thumb and could grow anything in his garden. He was a jack of all trades and had a heart the size of Texas. His legacy will live on through the people who love him. His greatest joy was being a Paps to his grandkids.

The times I'd gone with the Heberts to Winnie trade days and the unique things he would sometimes find or the things the man built always baffled me and made me jealous. Known him most of my life and he's always been family to me just like the rest of the Heberts and he will be greatly missed but will clearly be one of the greatest of guardian angels.

Cindy Hebert

My prayers are with you all. Prayers for peace and comfort. He is pain free and flying high. He will always be with you. Love you Phyllis.

Once in a lifetime you find a person so pure in heart, so lovely in manner, and so good to people. That person was Lucien Hebert. He adored his family and was always there for his friends. God needed another good soldier in His service so He called for His best to come Home. I truly loved my friend Lucien , his wife , and children. Until we meet again my friend, blessings for all. I love you Phyllis, we are right here.

Phyllis and family, I am so very, very sorry for the loss of Lucien. I cannot imagine the pain and emptiness you are feeling. I did not know Lucien, but watching the video I could tell he was a very well loved person and I cannot imagine the pain you are all feeling now. He is with our Savior now and not having any more pain. What a wonderful feeling that must be for him. The pain is for those of you left behind.
