Lucien J. Adams, Jr.
Lucien J. Adams, Jr. passed away at his home in Beaumont, May 22, 2025. He was born on December 4, 1936, in Berwick, Louisiana. After graduation from Morgan City High School, he attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana where he received a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
He began his working career at the U.S. Naval Propellant Plant in Indian Head, Maryland, where he met his wife. Lucien went on to work at the Rocketdyne Facility in McGregor, Texas; a Chrysler Facility in New Orleans, Louisiana; The NASA Space Center, Houston, Texas; and the DuPont plant in Corpus Christi, Texas. Later he transferred to DePont Headquarters in Delaware. In 1978, Lucien transferred to the Beaumont Works plant and worked there until his retirement in 1993.
Survivors include his son, James “Jimmy” Braxton, other family members, and his faithful wife of sixty-two years.
Lucien is preceded in death by his parents, Lucien Adams, Sr. and EaLena Adams; brother, Rodeny Adams; daughter, LuAnn Adams.
Cremation arrangements for Mr. Adams’ were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
