Lucille Margaret Broussard
Lucille Margaret Broussard, 92, of Beaumont, died Sunday, February 5, 2023. She was born on October 30, 1930, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Lucille Catherine and William Laurence Broussard. Lucille retired after thirty-five years with Beaumont ISD as a teacher at French Elementary and was a longtime member of St. Anne Catholic Church.
Survivors include her brother, Dr. John King Broussard and his wife, Dianna, of Bedford; nephew, William Kevin Broussard of Watuga; and niece, Kristen Nicole Broussard of Irving.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Rev. Monsignor William Landry Broussard.
Memorial contributions for Ms. Broussard may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77702.
A gathering of Ms. Broussard’s family and friends will be from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., with a Christian Vigil at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 10, 2023, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, with her interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.

John King I just found out today about your
beautiful sister. I am so sorry to hear of her death. We went to the same Mass for a long time and had many little talks. I just loved her. A very special lady.

It was such a privilege to know Lucille Broussard. She was such a very special lady. I became acquainted with her many years ago as I was her Realtor. We experienced so many wonderful times together,
Even though we hardly ever saw each other over these past years, when we did see each other, it was just as if it had been yesterday. She is in my prayers.
I was friends with Lucille through BART. Lucille was a lovely, elegant lady. She always kept a list of those in need of prayer and always passed this to me before prayer time at BART. Lucille and I shared a table at our meetings and I enjoyed our conversations. We discussed our belief in the Lord Jesus Christ and the will of God. My life was enriched because of Lucille. She has completed her journey.
Maybe 75+ years ago Lucille and Billy came to Pass Christian to visit our motley clan. Lucille appeared to choke upon swallowing a bug or something. Before they returned to Beaumont she coughed into her hand and a butterfly flew out of her mouth!!! She swore the ‘bug’ hatched in those few days. John King, I think of you and your family often. I loved your mom, didn’t know your dad but, oh, that Billy colored my life. Love and peace and prayers for the saving grace of happy memories.
