Luis Rodriguez

Luis Rodriguez, 83, of Nederland, died Friday, November 1, 2024. He was born December 7, 1940, in Edinburg, to Lorenza Rodriguez and Andres Rodriguez.

Luis was a strong, God-fearing man. He loved God, his family, and friends. Luis loved family gatherings to celebrate with everyone. He was one of five siblings. He achieved a college degree from Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, Texas. Luis, his wife, and children came to Nederland in 1979. He was active in his church, formerly known as First Assembly of God, in Nederland, Texas. He was loved dearly by all. We know he is pain free and we will see him in Heaven.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Rodriguez; children, Rosa Linda Webb and husband, Danny; Joe Luis Rodriguez; Johnny Rodriguez; Victor Rodriguez and wife, Stephanie; and Marco Rodriguez; grandchildren, Ashley Smith and husband, Michael; Blake Webb; Carol Jo Rodriguez; Amber Rodriguez; and Victor Matthew Rodriguez; and great grandchildren, Wesley Smith, Jameson Smith, and Nadia Rodriguez.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Maria Carcano, Fabian Rodriguez, Joe Rodriguez, and Concepcion Castellano; and grandson, Jonathon Luis Rodriguez.

A gathering of Mr. Rodriguez’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His interment will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Saint Mary Cemetery, 311 Trojan Road, Windthorst.
