Lupe “Lou” Cisneros Saldana

September 24, 1937 - March 4, 2022

Lupe “Lou” Cisneros Saldana, 84, of Beaumont, died Friday, March 4, 2022, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.  She was born in a house on Crockett Street in Beaumont on Friday, September 24, 1937, to Juanita Gayton Cisneros and Fidencio “Lance” Cisneros.

Lupe graduated from Beaumont High School in May of 1955 and married Gilbert Saldana on November 11th, 1955. She lived in Beaumont all her life, except for 9 months when she and Gilbert lived in Norfolk, Virginia while he was stationed there in the Navy.

Lupe attended St. Anthony Cathedral as a child, and then Cristo Rey Catholic church where her father was a founding member.  After getting married, she attended St. John Lutheran Church for most of her life, followed by Redeemer Lutheran Church until her death.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-six years, Gilbert Saldana; sons Raymond Saldana and his wife, Karen, and Andrew Saldana and his wife, Monique; grandchildren, Brittainey Saldana; Rachel Saldana; Lance Saldana and his wife, Myrka; Anne-Marie Saldana; and Natalie Saldana; great-grandson, Liam Saldana; sisters, Mary Catherine Pelt and Dolores Garcia and her husband, Michael; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Rosary for Mrs. Saldana will be recited at 5:00 p.m., with a gathering of family and friends to follow until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 11, 2022, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 4330 Crow Road, Beaumont, with her entombment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
