Lynn Ann Horn

Lynn Ann Horn, 73, of Newton, died Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Christus Southeast Texas-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on September 19, 1949, to Gertrude Coley DeMaranville and Jesse DeMaranville in Richmond, California. Lynn worked for many years as a school cafeteria manager and in the nursery at her church, where the children called her “Aunt Lynn”.

Survivors include her children, Karen Dees of Midland and Kristopher Horn of Lake Charles, Louisiana; grandchildren,  Jonathan Dees; Timothy Horn and his wife, Kelsi; Michael Dees; Patrick Dees; Amanda Horn and her husband, Chip; Robert Horn; and Lilly Horn and her husband, Austin; great-grandchildren, Aris Horn, Oliver Turner, and Cirilla Horn; siblings, Leah Hays, Bud DeMaranville and his wife, Lois, and Irma Mingham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Wilma DeLong and her husband, Gus, Peggy Livingston and her husband, D.H., Alpha Runge and her husband, Dwight, and  Sue Surber and her husband, Ronald; and brothers-in-law, Bob Hays and Joe Mingham.

Ms. Horn’s cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
